The East London Airport receives between 20 and 30 flights per day with two domestic airlines operating from the airport – South African Airways and SA Express. The airport also plays a crucial role in the growing economy of the Eastern Cape by linking the cargo chain along with the East London Port.

The Port Elizabeth Airport receives more than one million passengers per year and over 800 tons of cargo. It recently underwent an upgrade to house a fully compliant international arrivals and departures terminal.
